Have you ever seen a fairy? It seems they
are very good at hiding from us. Some people believe fairies
are tiny little creatures that live in our hearts, our thoughts
and maybe even in our flower gardens.
There are many different kinds of fairies
and they come in all different sizes, shapes and colors. Some
fairies live in the forest and only fly about at night. Other
fairies love the warmth of sunny days and the smell of pretty
flowers.
Stories are told of fairies that flit and
fly around not doing much of anything we can see. But the Tooth
Fairy has a very special job and while we never see her we can
always tell when the fairy has done her magic!
When a child starts growing and needs
bigger teeth, their baby teeth fall out to make way for the new
ones. Not wanting to waste such a special part of growing up,
the Tooth Fairy takes the baby tooth that is no longer needed
and flies way up into the night time sky. There she uses her
fairy magic to drop the baby tooth into the sky where it becomes
a brand new star!

Sometimes the Tooth Fairy likes to leave a
little gift for the growing child who has just lost the baby
tooth. It’s always different because it’s whatever the Tooth
Fairy has to give away.
Now, when you lose your baby tooth, make
sure it’s clean and shiny from brushing every day and wrap it in
a tissue. Place it under your pillow or in a special place
where the Tooth Fairy can find it while you sleep.
After your tooth disappears make sure you
check the sky at night because you just might see a brand new
shiny star that was not there before.
Remember to brush
your teeth every day because clean teeth make the shiniest
stars!
